The Weapons In Assassin’s Creed Syndicate
The new title in the Assassin’s Creed franchise was revealed at an event held on Monday by developers,Ubisoft. Assassin’s Creed Syndicate promises to be absolutely amazing, with spectacular graphics and bad-ass weapons. We decided to explore some of the new weapons in Assassin’s Creed Syndicate that you can look forward to:
Because the game is set in 1886 in modern Victorian London, gone are the days of walking around in public with your hood drawn and your sword on your hip. Now, the weapons in Assassin’s Creed Syndicate need to be concealed and stealth is key. In Victorian London it was considered completely unacceptable behaviour to publicly display any weapons you have on you. Although weapons in Assassin’s Creed Syndicate can’t always be seen, it doesn’t mean that they aren’t there. Now you can use creative and stealthy ways to carry weapons on you without being caught.
Because you are in the middle of the industrialization of London, your weapons in Assassin’s Creed Syndicate have been updated according to the relevant time-period. This obviously means that you will now be able to use revolvers and pistols. Also, as discreetly hiding your weapons is so important during this new modern time-period you now have a sword cane, Assassin’s Blade and gauntlet with a hidden kukri knife and all-new rope launcher. Because the Assassin’s Creed world has changed and evolved so much by increased traffic (carriages and trains) as well as a growth in population and infrastructure, a rope launcher has now been added to your Assassin gauntlet. This new rope launcher helps you leap between taller-than-before buildings and can be used as a quick way to escape.
The gameplay also focuses on close range combating so now a small danger, brass knuckles and revolvers have been added to your arsenal of weapons in Assassin’s Creed Syndicate. You can also throw knives at enemies from a distance and you can shoot hallucinogenic darts to turn your enemies against each other.
What makes this game so unique is the fact that for the first time in the franchise’s history you can play with two Assassins. Brother and sister, Jacob and Evie Frye are completely unique Assassins with different fighting styles and techniques.
You will be able to switch between either sibling at will, except when you are in the process of completing a mission. The game’s creative director, Marc-Alexis Cote explains:
" Jacob and Evie represent a different side of the English persona. Jacob is a charismatic brawler. He’s going to be the leader of London’s criminal underworld. Evie is much stealthier. She’s really, really intelligent and witty. One of the things I really like about our two characters is how they bounce off each other . "
The game will be available in October 2015 for Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and PC.
